Product line A
Hydraulic cylinders
HCIC Hydraulics builds cylinders for the work the machine does, not for a standards classification. The catalogue currently lists 11 product lines and 106 models, grouped into five sections: tipping and dump, refuse handling, hooklift and crane, container handling, and custom builds from a drawing.
Every product line below has a published dimension table with one row per orderable model. Ranges without verifiable parameters are not listed — an empty range is more honest than a page that says "custom" and stops there.
Which section your application falls in
The first question is what the cylinder moves, not how much force it produces. Capacity ranges overlap between sections, so starting from force alone is the usual way to end up comparing cylinders that do not mount the same way.
| Section | Product lines | Models | Series |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tipping & Dump | 5 | 84 | Underbody Telescopic Hydraulic Cylinder · FC Telescopic Front-End Cylinder · FE Telescopic Front-End Cylinder · FEE Telescopic Front-End Cylinder · HTT Series Scissor Hoist |
| Refuse Handling | 2 | 8 | Rear Loader Garbage Truck Cylinder · Side Loader Garbage Truck Cylinder |
| Hooklift & Crane | 2 | 12 | Hooklift System · HSG Crane Cylinder |
| Container Handling | 1 | 1 | Hydraulic Container Lift Jack |
| Hydraulic Power Units | 1 | 1 | DC Hydraulic Power Unit |
| Custom & Special Cylinders | 0 | 0 | — |
Counts are taken from the specification tables on each product page, one row per orderable model. Where a source table repeated a model twice, the duplicate row is not counted.
What decides the choice between sections
- Where the cylinder can physically sit
- A front-end cylinder needs clear space between the cab and the body front board. An underbody cylinder works inside the chassis rails. Where neither fits, a scissor hoist under the floor is the remaining option.
- How many stages the stroke needs
- Stage count trades retracted length against stroke. Six stages reach 1,947 mm from under a metre retracted; four stages in the same series stop at 806 mm.
- What the body has to lift
- Tipping capacity runs from 2.8 t on the smallest scissor hoist to 64 t on the largest front-end cylinder. The figure assumes the geometry the cylinder was designed for — it is not a free choice.
- Which mounting the frame already has
- Even with matching capacity, two series are rarely interchangeable: bore progression differs, so the pin centres and frame mounts differ. The drawing decides fit, not the summary table.
