Questions buyers ask before ordering
- How is the FE series different from FC?
- FE is specified for straight headboard bodies and comes in three capacity groups (28.3, 49 and 64 t) with 3 to 6 stages. The bore progression differs from FC, which is why the closed lengths and mounting dimensions are not interchangeable between the two series.
- What bore sizes are used across the series?
- The 3-stage models use 158/136/115 mm; 4- and 5-stage models add 169 mm; the 6-stage models go up to 191 mm at the base stage. Larger base bore is what carries the higher capacity groups.
- Which model gives 64 t?
- The two 5-stage E191 models: FE-5TG-E191*6180 with a 1,497 mm closed length and FE-5TG-E191*6350 at 1,673 mm. Both run at 16 MPa.
- Can a 6-stage model replace a 5-stage one?
- Only if the closed length and mounting dimensions match your body. A 6-stage unit gives more stroke from a shorter retracted length, but the base bore is different, so the frame mounts are not the same.
