A cylinder named as HC60-40×550 usually means the diameters of bore and rode are 60 and 40 mm, with a stroke length of 550mm. These numbers may varies in different meter system, but those numbers are the most important meters in a stanard welded hydraulic cylinder.

Mounts are typically at the ends of a hydraulic cylinder. They are used for fixing the cylinder on equipments. Mounts are usually welded to the end cap and rod head, impoving durability and strengh. Some are equiped with bushing and bearings in the pin bore to have better motion performance.
